Combat DC20 DOTP is a biocide solution of 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one in a non-volatile plasticizer carrier. The additive is an effective fungicide for use in PVC, polyurethane and other polymeric compositions requiring fungal protection. Low levels of Combat DC20 DOTP additive will offer long-term preservation against fungal attack and will help prevent surface growth, permanent staining, embrittlement and premature product failure. Combat DC20 DOTP additive is recommended for soft PVC films and sheeting, extruded profiles, plastisol, molded goods, fabric coatings, polyurethanes and similar polymeric systems.

Description
The antimicrobial is compatible with most polymer formulations and will not discolor or detract from the protected product's chemical or physical properties. Combat DC20 DOTP additive solution can be conveniently incorporated into the formulation during the mixing or compounding process.

Method of use:
It is suggested that Combat DC20 DOTP can be used in the production of vinyl resin film, sheet, extrusion, plastic sol, injection molding, organ sol, fabric coating, polyurethane and polyurethane foaming, and other similar polymerization systems. Compatible with most polymeric formulation systems, do not cause discoloration or impair the physicochemical properties of the product. The Combat DC20 DOTP is easily compatible with the raw material mix during blending or granulation.
Recommended dosage
In general, the recommended dosage of Combat DC20 DOTP is 0.8%-2.0%. For outdoor ethylene resin products, it is recommended to add 2.0% to ensure the anti-bacterial and anti-mildew effect. Customers can also do chemical and physical tests or antibacterial and mildew resistance tests to determine the dosage.
Combat DC20 DOTP contains 75% DOTP. Therefore, when using this product, the proportion of plasticizer in the product formulation must be adjusted. For example, if 2% of Combat DC20 DOTP is added, then 1.5% of plasticizer must be reduced to ensure the plasticity of the product. Therefore, when calculating the cost of using Combat DC20 DOTP, the cost of reduced plasticizers must be included. This additive should be added at the mixing stage to ensure the mixing equilibrium.
Storage Stability
Storage stability (as a function of time and temperature) is excellent.
Tests have shown that the active ingredient of Combat DC20 DOTP does not degrade even after protracted storage at elevated temperature (>12 months at 55°C). Normal recommended storage temperatures are in the range of 10 to 25°C.
Handling and Storage
Due to the biocidal nature of the product, protective clothing is to be worn while handling the product. Any handling or use that could create aerosols is to be avoided.
