Combat Technology (Dalian) Co., Ltd. Steals the Spotlight at ASE China 2025 with Launch of High-Performance Biocides for Adhesives
Shanghai, China – September 17-19, 2025 – Combat Technology (Dalian) Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese developer of antimicrobial solutions, made a strong impression at the 26th China International Adhesives & Sealants Exhibition (ASE China 2025) with the unveiling of its expanded Combat™ biocide portfolio engineered specifically for waterborne, hot-melt and reactive adhesives.
Positioned as a drop-in upgrade for legacy preservatives, the new grades drew packed technical sessions and on-stand challenge-test demonstrations that benchmarked the portfolio against Lanxess Preventol®, Thor ACTICIDE®, Clariant Nipacide® and Wacker Chemie BIOBAN® references.

| Grade                    | Key Chemistry                                | Application                                           | Performance Edge                                                                            |

| ------------------------ | -------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

| **CG-CMIT/MIT 14-5 LVA** | 1.15 % CMIT + 0.35 % MIT, low-volatile amine | In-can preservation of PVAc, VAE, acrylic PSA         | VOC-free, pH 3–10, 24-month shelf life; passes ASTM D2574 @ 150 ppm                         |

| **CG-BIT 20 DP**         | 20 % BIT in dipropylene glycol               | Construction adhesives, epoxy emulsions               | Thermal stability to 80 °C, APEO-free, matches Lanxess BIT 20 at 30 % lower treat rate      |

| **CG-DBNPA 20 SF**       | 20 % DBNPA, solvent-free                     | Rapid “knock-down” for starch, dextrin, protein glues | 30-min bacterial kill, hydrolytically clean, meets FDA 21 CFR 175.105 indirect food contact |

| **CG-DCOIT 30 MP**       | Micro-encapsulated DCOIT in polymer shell    | Reactive PU, MS-polymer, SMP sealants                 | 18-month fungal protection, non-leaching, < 5 ppm skin sensitization residue

Sustainability & Compliance

  • All new grades are formaldehyde-free and pre-registered under REACH, K-REACH, TSCA and China IECSC.
  • Micro-encapsulation technology cuts active ingredient demand by up to 40 %, lowering aquatic toxicity (LC50 > 100 mg L⁻¹, OECD 203).
  • Manufacturing site certified to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001; carbon footprint verified by TÜV Rheinland.

Live Demos & Technical Partnerships

On the opening day, Combat Dalian ran real-time ATP bioluminescence assays that showed a 5-log reduction in bacterial load within 30 minutes for a commercial VAE packaging adhesive treated with 200 ppm of CG-CMIT/MIT 14-5 LVA—outperforming a market-reference CMIT/MIT blend by one full log.
“We invited visitors to bring their own contaminated emulsions,” said Dr. Kevin Zhou, Global Marketing Manager. “Ninety percent of the samples left the stand sterile, and three major Asian formulators have already requested pilot volumes.”

Customer Feedback

Mr. Li Wei, R&D Director of Jiangsu StrongBond Chemical, commented:
“Combat’s micro-encapsulated DCOIT solved our long-standing issue of yellowing in SMP roof-tile adhesives. We’re qualifying CG-DCOIT 30 MP for Q1-2026 launch.”

Availability & Support

All new adhesive biocides are stocked in Dalian and Shanghai for prompt shipment in 25 kg, 200 kg and 1,000 kg IBCs.
Combat’s MicroCheck™ Lab offers complimentary challenge testing (ASTM D2574, ISO 11930), MIC profiling and regulatory dossier preparation for EPA, BPR and China NHC filings.
